Magical Season single stamp

Image
Hello! It's been a while! The past few months have been a whirlwind for me. Unfortunately I have not gotten to stamp and share the way I had hoped to. I am still holding stamp clubs and making cards for friends and family but classes have had to go on the back burner. I am hoping this holiday season give me a jump start at the new year! So, I love all of my SU products and I love to play with new and fresh rubber. I like the single stamps that we sell periodically because it gives me just a taste and I only have to buy the one stamp I love. For the holidays I chose the stamp "Magical Season", the phrase fit my thoughts perfectly. For this card I also used the d esigner paper stacks. These are perfect for making my Christmas cards. I like to make my own and with the stacks I get 24 sheets of one design. The sheets are 4-1/2" x 6" so they are perfect for cutting down to a card front size or using on another project. The fun file folder look is done using the n

A visit to the Getty

Image
This is my first time blogging from my phone ever. I downloaded the app and am giving it a try as I sit in my sons Tae Kwon Do class.  Unfortunately I don't have any cards on my phone but I do have some amazing photos I recently took at the Getty museum. We went for the first time ever just a few days ago. It was so beautiful and we had such a good time. I had hesitated in going because I have two boys ages 6 and 9 and well I didn't want to end up buying a million dollar statue because they broke it... Needless to say we broke nothing saw the Van Gogh and had a wonderful time. There is plenty for the kids to see and room for them to expend their energy.  The kids made masks in the children's are and wore them all day :) The view were spectacular and we couldn't have had better weather. I can't wait to go back....without the kids ;) You could see all the way to the ocean. Beautiful! Thanks for reading all the way through my test post. Ill get some pictures of my card

Washi Shaker Card

Image
This card was so easy and fun to do. We learned to make these easy shaker cards at convention this year. You simply lay a piece of acetate over a piece of cardstock and adhere the two together using washi tape. Once you have three sides put together drop in punched "confetti" pieces. Seal the fourth side and you have your shaker, if you put too much confetti in,it may not shake as well. Attach it to your card however you like. Supplies stamp set: Yippee Skippee ink: real red paper: so saffron, real red and whisper white card stock; I am Me designer series paper accessories: stitched real red grosgrain ribbon, 3/8" circle punch, heart punch, itty bitty punches, perfect polka dots folder FOR A LIMITED TIME You can join the Paper Pumpkin for just $10 a month for two months. Get stamps, ink and a fun paper crafting kit delivered right to your door every month. After the first two months at $10, the price goes up to $19.95, but you can cancel at any time

Gift Card Flower Bouquet

Image
It is the end of the school year for us.....finally! I can't wait to have my kids home for the summer. I love lounging in PJ's all day, and taking fun day trips to the beach or museums. I'm sure those days will include sibling arguments and a messy house but I choose not to think about that. I have tons of kids activities pinned on Pinterest for those moments I will want to pull my hair out. And when I need a break I will lock myself in my bedroom and skim the internet for new card ideas. That's my plan anyways, we shall see what happens.... Anyways, with the end of the school year comes class parties, school events and teacher gifts. I was room mom for one of my boys classrooms and my co-room mom and I decided on a gift card bouquet for her. It was really fun to put together. I used all of my favorite punches and some techniques I learned from Carrie Cudney herself at the SU convention last year. You can see a quick tutorial on one of the flowers I made  here .
