Happy Halloween! Licorice Witch Brooms

Image
All SUPPLIES Stampin' Up!: brights designer series paper stack, early espresso bakers twine and the Mixed Medley hostess stamp set I made these adorable witches brooms for my club class this last week. They were so simple and quick. I purchased chocolate twizzlers from the store and packaged them in our 1" cello bags. I then cut a piece of designer series paper 2-3/4" x 9". I fringed the top of my paper about 3/4" from the top and 1-1/2" from the bottom all the way along the 9" length. You will find that the designer paper has about 1/2" between the bottom and top fringe, that is where I placed my adhesive, all the way across. I took that designer paper and wrapped it, adhesive facing in, around my twizzler, a little less than 1-1/2" up and not quite flush with the end of the licorice. By leaving a little space between the end of the paper and where your twizzler ends lets the broom bottom fan out just a bit. I hope that makes sense. I ...

I was going through pictures of my past classes and came across the samples from last years Holiday tags class. I have been doing this class since I started stamping and it has been a lot of fun. I think last year was the best yet! The case is the clear stamping cases from the Catalog, we used a Simply Scrappin' kit, stocking accessories die and the yummy glimmer paper in red and silver. This years Tags class will be held on December 1st, so mark your calendar! I am already working on making some amazing tags! Happy Stampin' Tricia

Here are two cards we made at my second Christmas Club class. Simple yet elegant. We stamped snowfleakes from the Northern Hearts level 1 hostess set, in Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, and Whisper White, just around the edges. We also stamped white snowflakes onto the whisper white and then sprayed it with vanilla shimmer mist (118772, $4.95). The ribbon is the 5/8" organza satin ribbon (114319, $5.95/15 yds). The snowflakes were made with the extra-large snowflake punch (119852, $16.95). The finishing touch was glitter and a basic rhinestone. glitter and rhinestone There is still room in my last Christmas card class on December 4th. Clearly Christmas Card

Image
Can I just say I love this card! We did this in technique club last week using the window sheets, and the yummy Candy Cane Christmas specialty DSP. The base is Real Red and measures 5-1/2" x 5-3/4" and scored at 4-1/4". I scalloped one end of the base and attached the window sheet (4-1/4" x 5-1/2") underneath the flap. I then layed a 5-1/2" x 1-1/2" piece of dsp onto the window sheet at the bottom. The stamp set is Season of Joy (110384, $26.95). I stamped the swirls onto the window sheet using Staz On ink in white (106960, $11.95). The tree was colored with Stampin' Write markers and stamped on the inside (whisper white 4" x 5-1/4") and then on a seperate sheet and cut out for the outside. Last I wrapped some Tinsel Trim (Winter Mini, 120993, $7.95) around it and tied on a piece of the Real Red satin ribbon. Oh and I added a Basic Rhinestone to the top of the outside tree. I really love how this turned out. It was fun and easy and spark...

Candy Countdown Calendar kit

Image
I love this! It is adorable and so easy to put together. The quality is again top notch especially for the price (120926, $19.95). The boxes are a good size, 1.5 x 1 7/8 x 3.5 widening to 2 1/8 x 2 5/8 at the top. The kit is meant to be used as a countdown to Christmas calendar and I plan on using it as such. But now that I have one in hand I want a second kit I can use for small Christmas gift for family and friends. A giftcard will easily fit inside as will cookies, and candy. They will also look adorable hanging on the Christmas tree! I can't get over how much product you get with this kit. You get 25 of the boxes, if you have ever bought the cute take out boxes at a craft store you can see the value right there. And did I mention the boxes are patterned and require no adhesive? Too cute! You also get 25 pieces of  12" real red grossgrain ribbon to hang the boxes, a long strand of rope and 25 adorable tiny clothespins. The cut outs are a made of a heavy cardstock and are q...
