Lucky Stars Embossing folder

Image
I LOVE the new Lucky Stars embossing folder (135817, $7.95) and the Confetti Stars punch (135861, $21.95) in the Holiday 2014 catalog. They aren't just for holiday cards, they work perfect for birthdays and congratulations cards, even baby cards. You know me, the more versatile the product the better. We made this lovely card at my last club class, the star clip really adds interest. The clips are cute and easy to use. I attached this one with a mini glue dot. You can also just slide it on like a paper clip if you like. Bloom for You stamp set

Image
This stamp is a single wood stamp with a matching punch, LOVE that! It is called Bloom for You and the punch is Fun Flower . To make this card I stamped the images onto the white card stock in Daffodil Delight and then in Calypso Coral. I actually then trimmed off the white about an inch and around the coral flower leaving the entire flower attached. I then stamped and punched a second coral flower and attached it with a dimensional. I added the Park Lane dsp print to a Daffodil Delight card base and popped up the white onto the base as well. On the top left I used Washi tape, kraft stickers and used the Little Pieces embosslit die for the rest. This card was so much fun to make. I will be featuring this card and 4 more at this month's stamp a stack. Be sure to sign up soon. You Make Me Happy!

Image
Hello! It's been a while since I posted. I am glad to be back. I am posting a card I made for my stamp club recently, it features the Banner punch and Decorative Dots embossing folders both FREE during sale-a-bration. We dry embossed the dots onto the Core'dinations card stock in real red. We could have sanded this down to create a distressed look but I just wanted the look of the textured card stock on this card. I was lucky enough to find that card stock on the SU! clearance rack, woo hoo! Right now I think they still have gumball green available at a great discount. The banners were punched out of the Fresh Prints designer series paper stack (132996, $6.95, 48 sheets), found in the Celebrate the Every Day catalog. Its beautiful paper. Each sheet measures 4-1/2 x 6-1/2. NEW Stampin' Up! product: Texture Boutique

Image
This product is new to the Stampin' Up! family. It is similar to the bigshot in terms of use but it is only for use with the embossing folders. This is great for someone who may have a Cricut and want the added beauty of embossing. I know we can all agree that everything looks better when it's embossed. Just to be clear, we are talking about dry embossing where you use a plastic folder to leave an imprint on the card stock or paper piece. Wet embossing requires the use of separate embossing powder and slow drying ink. I do a lot of embossing on my cards and projects and this little machine is small enough I can keep it on my desk and quickly emboss whenever I like. YAY! If you have any questions on the product please let me know. Order yours today! Happy Stampin', Tricia

Birthday Starburst card

Image
I just love making this easy card! The starburst really adds an element of fun. we made this card at my last stamp club meeting. This card also features a faux bow using strips of cardstock. I cut 3, 3/4" wide strips of card stock. The longest was the length of my card 5-1/2" x 3/4". The next two were approximately 4-1/2" long. middle piece was flagged at the ends. The next piece I just folded over the ends to meet in the middle. To get a good curve you can wrap the bends around a pencil. I attached that to the flagged piece and wrapped a 1/4" ish x 2" strip around to make the center of the bow. I did have to trim some to make it work. I attached it using a dimentional. I will add a tutorial on the starburst a little later so check back for updates.
