Lovely Honey Bee

This set is so beautiful! I can’t stop playing with it! I saw this fun fold posted by Cindee Wilkinson. The top panel is tucked into the top right corner. The beehive was looking a little plain so I used the “kiss” method (?) and got the patterned look. The gold glimmer dots are from the “Christmastime is Here” bundle that was released last October and I was able to order more yesterday. They go great with the Honey Bee set. Bee sure to check out my upcoming class! Happy Stampin’ Tricia Hicks

Darling Label set

I really love the versatility of this set. Its so easy to create fun and useful cards, tags and gifts. The boxed set comes with two ink spots, a block, stamp set and matching punch. I matched this with the Tea Room dsp, a specialty paper with 24 sheets. The layers are created with punches, stitched shapes and layering squares framelits. Because the envelopes are quite snug, you want to keep your layers flat, I only used one layer of dimentionals per card. Happy Stampin, Tricia

Welcome!

Hello! It's been a while since I have been here to share. Not that I haven't been making cards though. So, here is a card I made for a recent Stamp Club. It features new products from the 2018-2019 Catalog. The first card here uses lots of layers. I love the look and it's an easy way to step up a card. You can easily make this a clean and simple card by removing the base layers. The beautiful paper is the Tea Room specialty DSP (146894). It is a thinner paper and good for layers and envelopes. You get 24 sheets in this package, 4 each of 6 double sided sheets, it's a great value. I highly recommend it. I also want to point out the Polka Dot Tulle ribbon (146912), love this! It is so easy to use and to tie and it add such a dainty look to your cards. A few other elements to the card that I want to mention, the Polka Dot basics embossing folder (143709) to add some texture, and the Pearlized Doilies (146936) because they are pretty. The stamp set I used is a hostess...

Stampin' Up! Succulent Garden Pop Up slider

Image
I really love, love, love the succulent garden designer series paper.  I saw this slider pop-up card on Pinterest and knew I had to try it out. I found a video by Kim Score here , that was easy to follow with great instruction. I changed the measurements some as I wanted it to slide back a little more so I decreased the back slide by 1/2". To make this card I paired the succulent garden designer series paper with the Crazy about You stamp set (137137, $25) from the big catalog. They go together perfectly and I like to blend the old and the new. To make the "succulent" on the front I stamped the flower in mint macaron onto the white and then onto a separate piece of white. I  punched the second mint flower out and attached it using a dimensional. I made the smaller flower using the Blossom Bunch punch (140612, $18). I punched the flower in white and sponged some sweet sugarplum ink on it. This card was a lot of fun to make, I hope you have fun making your own. Su...

Hello Sunshine!

Today I am showing you one of my favorite cards. This card is so easy to put together and is so pretty. I used Watermelon Wonder and Flirty Flamingo card stock you can find both of these shades are in the In Color line. This card features two stamp sets, Sunshine Sayings (141594, clear mount, $23) and Falling Flowers (139556 clear mount, $20). I die cut the flower using the May Flowers framelits set (140276, $31), I cut out one in the Watermelon and then I cut a second one in the corner of my white piece. I didn't use the white one I cut out, I'll save it for another project. I stamped on the white and added my ribbon, then I matted it on the Flamingo. I then glued the Watermelon floor to the Flamingo piece. Its a bit like a puzzle, I did have to play with it a bit to match it up. I added a rhinestone to the flower, some Wink of Stella Gold to the stamped  flowers   and popped it up on the base.  Be sure to check out my up...
