A visit to the Getty

This is my first time blogging from my phone ever. I downloaded the app and am giving it a try as I sit in my sons Tae Kwon Do class.

Unfortunately I don't have any cards on my phone but I do have some amazing photos I recently took at the Getty museum. We went for the first time ever just a few days ago. It was so beautiful and we had such a good time. I had hesitated in going because I have two boys ages 6 and 9 and well I didn't want to end up buying a million dollar statue because they broke it...
Needless to say we broke nothing saw the Van Gogh and had a wonderful time. There is plenty for the kids to see and room for them to expend their energy.
The kids made masks in the children's are and wore them all day :)
The view were spectacular and we couldn't have had better weather. I can't wait to go back....without the kids ;)

You could see all the way to the ocean. Beautiful!

Thanks for reading all the way through my test post. Ill get some pictures of my cards up soon.

Happy Grunge

I love this card! It was so much fun to create. It features the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set, a mix of splatters, lines and mess. I think however it all comes together quite nicely.
I cut the center out of the bermuda bay piece using the window frames framelit. the magnetic platform makes it so easy to get it straight.

Supplies
stamp set: gorgeous grunge (p. 109), yippee skippy (p. 37)
ink: bermuda bay, chocolate chip, strawberry slush and pool party
paper: pool party, whisper white, bermuda bay and strawberry slush cs; silver glimmer paper
accessories: chevron embossing folder, designer buttons, bakers twine, hardware clips, basic rhinestones, window frames framelit, scallop edge punch and the 1-3/8" circle punch

Washi Shaker Card

This card was so easy and fun to do. We learned to make these easy shaker cards at convention this year. You simply lay a piece of acetate over a piece of cardstock and adhere the two together using washi tape. Once you have three sides put together drop in punched "confetti" pieces. Seal the fourth side and you have your shaker, if you put too much confetti in,it may not shake as well. Attach it to your card however you like.

Supplies
stamp set: Yippee Skippee
ink: real red
paper: so saffron, real red and whisper white card stock; I am Me designer series paper
accessories: stitched real red grosgrain ribbon, 3/8" circle punch, heart punch, itty bitty punches, perfect polka dots folder
