You Make Me Happy!

Stampin' Up!, banner punch, happy watercolor stamp set, frsh prints dsp

Hello! It's been a while since I posted. I am glad to be back. I am posting a card I made for my stamp club recently, it features the Banner punch and Decorative Dots embossing folders both FREE during sale-a-bration.
We dry embossed the dots onto the Core'dinations card stock in real red. We could have sanded this down to create a distressed look but I just wanted the look of the textured card stock on this card. I was lucky enough to find that card stock on the SU! clearance rack, woo hoo! Right now I think they still have gumball green available at a great discount.
The banners were punched out of the Fresh Prints designer series paper stack (132996, $6.95, 48 sheets), found in the Celebrate the Every Day catalog. Its beautiful paper. Each sheet measures 4-1/2 x 6-1/2.

stamp set: Happy Watercolor (celebrate the everyday, p 22)
ink: basic clack
paper: real red core'dinations card stock, whisper white and crumb cake card stock; Fresh Prints DSP stack
accessories: basic rhinestoones, silver 1/8" ribbon, itty bitty punch pack flower punch and chalk talk framelits

Stampin' Up! Perfect Pennants, Hardwood, Sweet Sorbet

I borrowed this layout from a pinterest card done by Michele Last and a little bit of freshly made sketch #119.

stamp set: Perfect Pennants and Hardwood
ink: basic black
paper: pistachio pudding, crumb cake, basic black and whisper white card stock; Sweet Sorbet dsp (SAB)
accessories: chalk talk framelits, decorative dots embossing folder (SAB), Petite Petals punch, Itty Bitty shapes flower punch, black narrow grossgrain ribbon and basic rhinestones

These cards were both fun and easy. Hope to see you at a class soon!

Soft Suede, Poppy Parade and Pool Party

Such a lovely combo that I never would have paired if it weren't for the Sale-A-Bration designer series paper. This paper is so pretty! I can't put it down and I want to use it on every project I make. I have a card sample for you today that is a variation on one I already did. I have stopped putting greeting onto my card samples as I never have the right one when I need it. I just put my verse on when I am ready to send my card.
Stamp set: Fresh Vintage
Paper: soft suede, pool party and whisper white cardstock; everyday enchantment dsp (SAB only)
Ink: soft suede
Accessories: decorative label punch, 3/4" circle punch, blossom punch, clear buttons, white bakers twine, and dots embossing folder.
This box was adapted from Mary Fish, who got it from another demo, who got it from another demo :). I tweaked it a bit on the lid measurements but everything else is the same. The candies were wrapped using the dsp. My tag was made with the Labels framelits die.
My lid measuresments: 8-1/4" x 8-1/4" and is scored at 1/2", 3-3/4", 4-3/8" and 7-3/4". It is hard to score on acetate, it's more of a guideline. You will need your bone folder to really crease the lines. Adhere it with sticky strip.

Box measurements:
10.25 x 5.25 scored at 1" and 1/2" all the way around. Notch your corners and fold it up. You can use sticky strip or Tombow Multi (what I used).

3" x 10" scored at 3-1/4", 3-3/4" and 4-1/4" from each side. I did adhere the insert to the box bottom so it would stay in place.

Lastly I have this adorable jar filled with chocolate. The jar is from Ikea, love these.

Spotlight on Framelits

I was hesitant about the *NEW* Framelits dies but they are my new favorite accessory, I can do so much with them and they make all of my cards look so "wow", with little effort I might add. The following two cards were done at my last Stamp Club meeting, if you don't belong to a Stamp club you are missing out ;).

This card features products from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. We simply attached our dsp to the front and the cut out a "window" using the Labels framelits die, I love that you can place these anywhere on your card. We then cut another frame out of poppy parade to place inside. The lovely butterfly on the front is made using the blossom punch. To get a butterfly fold your blossom in half and trim it to leave only the wings of a butterfly.

Stamps: Fresh Vintage (SAB) and Friendly Phrases (IB&C)
Ink: Poppy Parade and Whisper White
Paper: Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Poppy Parade and Whisper white card stock; Everyday Enchantment dsp
Accessories: Labels framelits dies, blossom punch, Everyday enchantment ribbon, and in color brads.

For this card we cut another "window" this time on cutting it halfway. It is a new technique we learned at our meeting. It love the effect. The window swings when you open the card. So much fun! We also placed the ribbon inside, it's different but such a pretty touch.

Stamps: Creative Elements (IB&C) and Sincere Salutatioons
Ink: baja breeze, crumb cake and early espresso
Paper: rich razzleberry, baja breeze, sahara sand and whisper white cardstock
Accessories: labels framelits dies, modern label punch, whisper white taffeta ribbon, and basic rhinestones

This card featured the *NEW* Adorning Accents edgelits die and matching textured embossing folders. It is hard to get these to cut straight so we have resorted to using removable dotto on our card where we would like our edgelit to go. The embossing folders don't need this though. We did cut and then emboss. The pink flower was stamped and punched and then attaced to a second punched flower in the same color with dimentionals. I like the fluffy look it gives the flower.
stamps: mixed bunch and friendly phrases
ink: early espresso ond pink pirouette
paper: riding hood red, pear pizzazz, whisper white, baja breeze, and pink pirouette card stock; twitterpated (occasions mini) dsp
Accessories: pear pizzazz seam binding, basic rhinestones, blossom punch, tripple layer blossom punch, labels framelits die, adorning accents edgelits die and embossing folder, and perfect polka dots embossing folder

Thanks for stopping by!

Yes, it is that time of year again! The time of year when we get FREE stuff from SU!. Now through March 31st you will get a free stamp set, ribbon or paper from the SAB mini catalog for each $50 in catalog merchandise you spend. In addition to this you can get another free item when you host an at home workshop. There are four stamp sets, one package of designer series paper(dsp), and a ribbon bundle to choose from. The paper is an excellent deal as it has 16 sheets of dsp as opposed to the regular 12. The ribbon bundle contains one 5 yd roll of so saffron 3/8" grossgrain ribbon and one 5 yd roll of certainly celery 3/8" soft twill ribbon. Both are gorgeous by the way.
I have uploaded two samples using 3 items from the SAB mini catalog. I chose these because they all coordinate with each other and I love it when everything matches. I used the Polka Dot Punches stamp set, the Delicate Dots dsp, and the ribbon. The main images on both cards were stamped in whisper white craft ink and embossed in white as well, this always gives the white added pop. Each card also has a filigree designer brad to give it some bling.
Enjoy the cards and these fun layouts!
