Stampin' Up! Convention 2011

I am just back from 4 fun and busy days in Utah. The trip was amazing, I learned so much! We were treated like Stampin' Up! royalty. Did I mention we got many FREE gifts! We got to see the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog first and some new SU! products were unveiled. All in all it was an event to remember. Over the next few week I will be sharing with you some of the highlights.
It is customary, though optional, to bring card fronts to swap with fellow demonstrators. I made about 75 total. Here is my first one, it is using the Posy Punch hostess stamp set.

Paper: Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand, Pool Party, Whisper White and Calypso Coral card stock; sahara sand patterns dsp
Accessories: Polka Dots embossing folder; decorative label, extra-large oval, fancy flower, 2-3/8" scallop circle, dotted scallop border, 3/4" circle and itty bitty punches; basic rhinestones; dimentionals

Loving this fresh adorable bundle, Sweet Strawberry. It’s easy to create a dimensional look and the cards are perfect for the season. I really like stamping the strawberries onto petal pink card stock in the poppy parade ink. The punch makes it so easy to make a few strawberries at a time. Freshly Made Sketch & New Products

     I needed to get my creative juices flowing so I went in search of a new sketch. I stumbled across this blog Freshly Made Sketches , their sketches are right up my alley, I love their clean and simple style. Usually, I just jot down the sketch and go along my merry way. But this time I decided to actually play along.      I also happened to get my box of NEW Stampin' Up! goodies this week so I have incorporated those as well. Being a SU! demo I get to order a few items from the upcoming idea book and catalog. So I ordered a set of the new In Colors and a couple of the new colors being introduced.      Well, here is the Freshly Made Sketch #84, FMS84, and my first ever challenge version of it. I used three new colors Strawberry Slush, Baked Brown Sugar and the re-introduced Soft Sky. The fluffy flower is made from the Creped Filter Paper, just $2.95 a package.
