Freshly Made Sketch #86; Cupcake Birthday Card

I'll admit it, I am hooked! I love doing a challenge card. It motivates me and helps me to get those creative juices going. I had a birthday card stamp camp on Saturday and the sketch for this week was just what I needed. 
I combined some current products with some that are leaving soon. The SU paper stacks are retiring, I will miss them so much. I have at least two stacks in every color family. I use them on all of my cards. And then there is my Bashful Blue, it has been a tried and true color for every occasion......and the Curly Cute stamp set....wahhhhh!
Ok, well enough lamenting here is the card I came up with.



Supplies
stamp set: curly cute
ink: chocolate chip
paper: sahara sand, whisper white, and rich razzleberry card stock; chocolate chip, bashful blue and calypso coral designer prints dsp; silver glimmer paper
accessories: white taffeta ribbon, scallop edge punch, cupcake builder punch, and chevron embossing folder

Thanks for visiting today! Here is my Frosty Friends swap card for the Over the Top swap, "Bling It". This swap was organized by Barbara Jackson, thanks Barbara I had a great time. Frosty Friends stamp set (C) Stampin' Up! I tried to use as many "blingy" things as I could. I used our silver glimmer paper, basic rhinestones,dazzling diamonds glitter, and shimmer paint. Now with the shimmer paint I used the new spritzers available in the new catalog, I poured some of the paint in the spritzer, added some water and spritzed the paint onto my card. I used my two way glue on the snowmen by tracing the outlines and then sprinkling on the dazzling glitter. The snowflake is cut using our new snowflake die. Gift Card Flower Bouquet

It is the end of the school year for us.....finally! I can't wait to have my kids home for the summer. I love lounging in PJ's all day, and taking fun day trips to the beach or museums. I'm sure those days will include sibling arguments and a messy house but I choose not to think about that. I have tons of kids activities pinned on Pinterest for those moments I will want to pull my hair out. And when I need a break I will lock myself in my bedroom and skim the internet for new card ideas. That's my plan anyways, we shall see what happens.... Anyways, with the end of the school year comes class parties, school events and teacher gifts. I was room mom for one of my boys classrooms and my co-room mom and I decided on a gift card bouquet for her. It was really fun to put together. Tea Light Birthday Cake

Isn't this little light the cutest? A friend of mine received it as a swap during Convention. I had to come home and make one for myself. If you are signed up for the Birthday stamp-a-stack then you will be taking one of these cuties home. If not, there is still room in the August 6th class so sign up today! It is simple to make, I created this one on my own and then discovered a tutorial on splitcoaststampers after. My design is a bit different I did want a clean circle around the flame. The side is a strip of designer series paper. The top is two parts, the first being the 1-3/4" scallop circle with a 3/4" circle punched out of the center. Attach this piece to the top. Then I took a 2" x 2" piece of card stock and punched a circle using the Itty Bitty Punch Pack (118309). That is where the "flame" will fit.
