I'm Happy Stampin'

I was going through pictures of my past classes and came across the samples from last years Holiday tags class. I have been doing this class since I started stamping and it has been a lot of fun. I think last year was the best yet! The case is the clear stamping cases from the Catalog, we used a Simply Scrappin' kit, stocking accessories die and the yummy glimmer paper in red and silver. I am so excited about this publication! It's gorgeous! This catalog is by no means "Mini", it is now magazine style and has more pages than ever before. There are tons of new products which you may have noticed on my Frosty Friends card I posted a week ago. That stamp was new as was the snowflake die. And so much more. Here is the fun 2012 Convention Video. It was a really catchy tune and fun to see all of the SU! peeps in the lip syncing. The video was made at the Stampin' Up! home office. Looks like somewhere I'd LOVE to work!. The last part pf the video was the actual opening session of convention! So i was in it ;) We were in the crowd back stands on the right. LOL. Enjoy!

Here is my last swap card from convention. It features my new favorite stamp set Everything Eleanor. This stamp set has flowers, some scrolling, a frame, and a bird . Soo cute. My card also features a fun fold I saw online that I haven't seen much of, it is a winged card, I think. This was my Over the Top entry, it has quite a few details to it like several layers and embellishments. I love the colors they are from the NEW In Color collection, Midnight Muse, Razpberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, and a touch of Primrose Petals. Thanks for visiting today! Here is my Frosty Friends swap card for the Over the Top swap, "Bling It". This swap was organized by Barbara Jackson, thanks Barbara I had a great time. Frosty Friends stamp set (C) Stampin' Up! I tried to use as many "blingy" things as I could. I used our silver glimmer paper, basic rhinestones,dazzling diamonds glitter, and shimmer paint. Now with the shimmer paint I used the new spritzers available in the new catalog, I poured some of the paint in the spritzer, added some water and spritzed the paint onto my card. I used my two way glue on the snowmen by tracing the outlines and then sprinkling on the dazzling glitter. The snowflake is cut using our new snowflake die. Wow! What a great time I had. It was a very long 5 days but so worth it. I learned so many new tips, met some new friends and enjoyed connecting with others. My upline Michelle Halleen makes us feel so special she does a great job of bringing us all together! Thanks Michelle :) A big part of the Stampin' Up! convention is the card swapping. We bring card fronts we have made and we trade them with other demonstrators. It gives us new ideas and samples to share with our customers and it's a fun way to get to know someones work. I made 3 swaps this year. One regular swap for general swapping and then two over the top swaps. The over the top swaps were special swaps you have to join ahead of time, they have a theme and a certain number of participants.
