Sweet Strawberries

Image
Loving this fresh adorable bundle, Sweet Strawberry. It’s easy to create a dimensional look and the cards are perfect for the season. I really like stamping the strawberries onto petal pink card stock in the poppy parade ink. The punch makes it so easy to make a few strawberries at a time. I found stamping the images I wanted on a card stock strip and then punching them down the line worked well.  Supplies Stamp set : Sweet Strawberries Ink : poppy parade, granny apple green, balmy blue and soft sea foam Paper : poppy parade, petal pink, granny apple green, balmy blue, soft sea foam and basic white card stock Accessories : gold hoops, basic rhinestones, gold glitter enamel dots, crinkled seam binding, white bakers twine, polka dot tulle ribbon, Strawberry builder punch, Lovely Labels pick a punch and stitched so sweetly dies The stamp set has cute wording and great images and when you buy the bundle you get 10% off! Lovely Honey Bee

Image
This set is so beautiful! I can’t stop playing with it! I saw this fun fold posted by Cindee Wilkinson. The top panel is tucked into the top right corner. The beehive was looking a little plain so I used the “kiss” method (?) and got the patterned look. The gold glimmer dots are from the “Christmastime is Here” bundle that was released last October and I was able to order more yesterday. They go great with the Honey Bee set. Bee sure to check out my upcoming class! Happy Stampin’ Tricia Hicks

Darling Label set

Image
I really love the versatility of this set. Its so easy to create fun and useful cards, tags and gifts. The boxed set comes with two ink spots, a block, stamp set and matching punch. I matched this with the Tea Room dsp, a specialty paper with 24 sheets. The layers are created with punches, stitched shapes and layering squares framelits. Because the envelopes are quite snug, you want to keep your layers flat, I only used one layer of dimentionals per card. Happy Stampin, Tricia

Welcome!

Hello! It's been a while since I have been here to share. Not that I haven't been making cards though. So, here is a card I made for a recent Stamp Club. It features new products from the 2018-2019 Catalog. The first card here uses lots of layers. I love the look and it's an easy way to step up a card. You can easily make this a clean and simple card by removing the base layers. The beautiful paper is the Tea Room specialty DSP (146894). It is a thinner paper and good for layers and envelopes. You get 24 sheets in this package, 4 each of 6 double sided sheets, it's a great value. I highly recommend it. I also want to point out the Polka Dot Tulle ribbon (146912), love this! It is so easy to use and to tie and it add such a dainty look to your cards. A few other elements to the card that I want to mention, the Polka Dot basics embossing folder (143709) to add some texture, and the Pearlized Doilies (146936) because they are pretty. The stamp set I used is a hostess...

Stampin' Up! Succulent Garden Pop Up slider

Image
I really love, love, love the succulent garden designer series paper.  I saw this slider pop-up card on Pinterest and knew I had to try it out. I found a video by Kim Score here , that was easy to follow with great instruction. I changed the measurements some as I wanted it to slide back a little more so I decreased the back slide by 1/2". To make this card I paired the succulent garden designer series paper with the Crazy about You stamp set (137137, $25) from the big catalog. They go together perfectly and I like to blend the old and the new. To make the "succulent" on the front I stamped the flower in mint macaron onto the white and then onto a separate piece of white. I  punched the second mint flower out and attached it using a dimensional. I made the smaller flower using the Blossom Bunch punch (140612, $18). I punched the flower in white and sponged some sweet sugarplum ink on it. This card was a lot of fun to make, I hope you have fun making your own. Su...

Hello Sunshine!

Image
Today I am showing you one of my favorite cards. This card is so easy to put together and is so pretty. I used Watermelon Wonder and Flirty Flamingo card stock you can find both of these shades are in the In Color line. This card features two stamp sets, Sunshine Sayings (141594, clear mount, $23) and Falling Flowers (139556 clear mount, $20). I die cut the flower using the May Flowers framelits set (140276, $31), I cut out one in the Watermelon and then I cut a second one in the corner of my white piece. I didn't use the white one I cut out, I'll save it for another project. I stamped on the white and added my ribbon, then I matted it on the Flamingo. I then glued the Watermelon floor to the Flamingo piece. Its a bit like a puzzle, I did have to play with it a bit to match it up. I added a rhinestone to the flower, some Wink of Stella Gold to the stamped  flowers   and popped it up on the base.  Be sure to check out my up...

I'm Back!

Image
It has been too long since I joined you here on my blog. I have still been busy making cards, so it is time I returned to share with you some fun cards once again.  My club class is going strong and I'd like to share with you what we worked on in our last class.      This card features the Blooms and Bliss Designer Series paper (141654, $11), I used one 3" x 5" piece and sliced it in different widths and lengths. I then flagged the ends and attached them to a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of card stock in Island Indigo. I stamped with the Perfectly Wrapped set (141960, $17) in Island Indigo and Encore Gold. I added a small piece of the Fabulous Foil designer acetate (141653, $12)for interest, some black bakers twine (141682, $3) for flair and voila done. The base of the card is Sahara Sand. If I timed down the flowers some I even think this would work well for a masculine card.      The Perfectly Wrapped set is a FAVORITE of mine and ...

Cheerful Tags Window Card

Image
This is a fun card to make, it features the Cheerful Tags stamp set. I like the look of the window it would be pretty with some frost.  To make the window I first took a 4" x 5-1/4 piece of Whisper White card stock and added some All is Calm washi tape and a few stamped snowflakes. I die cut a starburst  into the center. I then layed this on my Soft Sky card base as a template and placed a circle die into the center of my starburst. I taped the circle down to the card base with a small piece of washi, so it would stay put, removed the white piece and then ran the card base through the Big Shot. I then added a white piece to the inside of my card and stamped the "holiday cheer" through the circle that way it was perfectly placed.  After that I attached a piece of window sheet to the back of my white piece and attached that to the front of my card.  I added the Frosted Sequins to give it some bling and the cute snowflake medallion.  Supplies :...

Cheerful Tags holiday card

Image
Here is one of my Holiday Cards for the 2014 Season. I love these colors so soft and serene and then a pop of red to remind you it's Christmas. Merry Merry I love this set Cheerful Tags , its small and simple. I layered some strips of All is Calm designer washi tape over my cascade of snowflakes. The snowflakes are stamped in smoky slate and soft sky classic ink. I added bling with the Frosted sequins and  basic   rhinestones that I colored with my Coastal Cabana blendabilities  markers. You could just as easily use a sharpie to color them, either way the effect is fun. I punched the tag with the new Note Tag punch , stapled a piece of real red 1/4" cotton ribbon  and then tied some cherry cobbler bakers twine around the red ribbon. I stamped the snowflake in soft sky ink on the soft sky card stock, gives a watermark effect. For the layout I used a smoky slate base layered a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of soft sky on top of it. The top layer is a 3-3/4" x 5...

They aren't just for holiday cards, they work perfect for birthdays and congratulations cards, even baby cards. You know me, the more versatile the product the better. Bloom for You stamp set

Image
This stamp is a single wood stamp with a matching punch, LOVE that! It is called Bloom for You and the punch is Fun Flower . To make this card I stamped the images onto the white card stock in Daffodil Delight and then in Calypso Coral. I actually then trimmed off the white about an inch and around the coral flower leaving the entire flower attached. I then stamped and punched a second coral flower and attached it with a dimensional. I added the Park Lane dsp print to a Daffodil Delight card base and popped up the white onto the base as well. On the top left I used Washi tape, kraft stickers and used the Little Pieces embosslit die for the rest. This card was so much fun to make. I will be featuring this card and 4 more at this month's stamp a stack. Be sure to sign up soon. You Make Me Happy!

Image
Hello! It's been a while since I posted. I am glad to be back. I am posting a card I made for my stamp club recently, it features the Banner punch and Decorative Dots embossing folders both FREE during sale-a-bration. We dry embossed the dots onto the Core'dinations card stock in real red. We could have sanded this down to create a distressed look but I just wanted the look of the textured card stock on this card. I was lucky enough to find that card stock on the SU! clearance rack, woo hoo! Right now I think they still have gumball green available at a great discount. The banners were punched out of the Fresh Prints designer series paper stack (132996, $6.95, 48 sheets), found in the Celebrate the Every Day catalog. Its beautiful paper. Each sheet measures 4-1/2 x 6-1/2. Supplies  stamp set: Happy Watercolor (celebrate the everyday, p 22) ink: basic clack paper: real red core'dinations card stock, whisper white and crumb cake card stock; Fresh Prints DS...
